Development 1 year later


It's been a year since the last devlog and a lot's changed. 

Rather than typing out a whole paragraph here's what's been added (subject to change)

Player now has a full body and hand animations

As well as this. The player also has a stamina system to stop endless running around enemies. This needs to be managed or you'll be caught


Enemies now investigate noises

 These range from:

* Stepping on loose floorboards

* Knocking over pots

* Stepping on twigs in the Forest

* Triggering bear traps

Speaking of which (WARNING: Loud):

Player can now be trapped. This alerts nearby enemies and stops movement for a short duration (there may be a mini game to escape in future)

All around AI improvements:

* Enemies patrol and pursue player if spotted. 

* Investigate sounds and irregularities as mentioned above

* Will capture player and place you in a prison in the area. However if your captured too many times the game is over


Finally, there's been work on the Intro, Main Menu and Credits. These are subject to change but help flesh out the overall theme of the game:

This all takes ages to make and is the product of a lot of trial and error. It's nowhere near where I want it but is a great bookmark for how far this project has become from 1 year ago:
